Following is a complete list of Countries and their Video Broadcast Standards. Also shown are the Mains Electricity Voltages and Frequencies together with DVD Region Codes.

This information has been researched from various sources and is believed to be correct. However, no responsibility can be assumed for any errors.

Over time, some countries have changed names or been split into different 'new' countries.  This may mean that either some newer countries may not appear in this list or they are shown under the original country name. Also, with the advent of cable and satellite broadcasting, although there is an official broadcast standard for a particular country, some operators and broadcasters are using different standards.  Satellite television stations tend to broadcast in the standard for the country they are aiming at but by virtue of the fact that these stations can be received over a wider global footprint, some confusion may arise as to what the 'official' video standard may be for a particular country.
