Coronation Street TV Series Merchandise

Now in it's 50th year, Coronation Street has become the world's longest running and consistently highest rated UK TV Series.

Coronation Street, which first aired on British Television in December 1960, was the brainchild of writer Tony Warren MBE. Coronation Street is based around the fictional Northern British town of Weatherfield which in itself is modelled on the real town of Salford in Greater Manchester. The Street consisted of a row of terraced houses, with a Corner Shop at one end of the row and the infamous 'Rovers Return' at the other end.

As well as the UK, Coronation Street is aired in Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand where it has proven to be equally as popular. It also started airing to the Middle East and North Africa during 2005 on the Showtime digital satellite Pay TV network.
