Reviews
The item took a while to arrive and on playing the DVDs
I found that they were 'freezing' and jumping.Cleaning has improved them but they are still not 100%.I contacted the seller and while they were surprised at my comments did offer a refund.I decided it was more hassle so kept them altho' I doubt I would buy from this seller again. The irony is that when ordering I hit the wrong button and had meant to have ordered new
as the price difference was minimal.Didn;t realise till too late.
I watched the first series when it came out in the (0's ,then I moved so missed the rest.I liked it I must say, the story line declined towards the end and the last episode was dramatic but not convincing enough and the end was abrupt. The impression given was that they were in a rush to finish it.
Nice series,I will be definitely buying the next one at some point (though my favorite couple will not be there)!
This series was the best the BBC produced, it has passion, sadness fun & cunning.
Do yourself a favour and look at the whole series, you won't be the same again, or think of the Irish in the same way.
Filmed in Avoca in the Irish Republic the views are astounding and its the same today as you see in the series, visiting the village is a must if you go to Ireland.

I have done a review for all the Bally K DVDs from which it's clear that I love them.
Would urge anyone to buy these for good stories and gentle humour.
This dvd set runs from the very first episode to when Stephen Thomkinson leaves the series, which was what I wanted. A few postcards of Stephen Thompkinson would have been welcome (as in "The Corpse Bride" dvd.
I felt Amazon's delivery was excellent (2 days from ordering on line).
